  • Insulation

  • The thicker the cover, the better it will insulate. For colder climates, and when your spa is kept hot 24 x 7, additional insulation will lower your heating bills every month. View

R-value is the measure of the insulation value of the cover. The higher the R-value the better the cover will insulate and the lower heating bills.

Tapering Covers are thickest in the middle and slope outward like a roof
    * Tapered covers are the most common and assist with rain run off
    * Tapered covers are thickest across the fold and slope down to the sides with the handles

Flat covers offer greater insulation but are recommended only for rain protected areas such as gazebos or under decking
    * A 6-4 tapering cover has an average thickness of 5 inches, so it has the same R-value as a 5 inch thick flat cover. However, the flat cover has NO areas where the foam is 4 inches thick so it will insulate better.

  • Shape, Size and Fold

  • Refer to the shape illustrations below and select the shape of your hot tub here. If none of these shapes are accurate, please contact us.
  • Measuring

It is very important to measure your own hot tub so your cover will fit properly. If the cover that was purchased showed make, model or specifications, use those specifications ONLY to confirm your own measurements. Our years of experience prove the covers fit better when our buyers measure THEIR hot tub for THEIR cover. When in doubt, round up to insure the cover is large enough.

You may prefer to measure the cover itself. If you like the fit of your current cover, simply measure it and we will replicate that. Your cover will be manufactured to the sizes specified here.

  • Durability

  • The life of your cover can be extended a year or more with an upgraded vapor barrier. 82% of covers eventually fail from waterlogging, the cause of the cover becoming heavy. The vapor barrier is the wrap around the foam cores, inside the cover, that keeps the moisture out.
  • If the cover will be used with a cover removal system or cover lifter, this reinforcement will strengthen the cover's hinge. Prevent this!
